Photos And Screen Grabs From Day 1

Here are a few pictures and screen grabs for filming the opening and closing sequence.

Filming Diary Day 1

Risk assessment and issues with the locations

Abandoned House
After looking into each location I have realised that filming in a burlesque club will not be feasible and due to lack of time I have resorted to using my garage for two different scenes rather than one and I am to execute this by dressing it up with sheets to create the illusion of a different room.

My only concern was the abandoned house scenes. The house had been burnt in a fire and although from a distance the house looks relatively safe a closer look inside revealed many different hazards. To avoid anyone getting hurt I decided to film in only one of the rooms as the others appeared to have an unsafe structure. I also cleared the area I decided to film in to avoid anyone tripping over.

Inside The Abandoned House
As the Jeep we found had also been damaged we gave it a thorough check and cleared away any broken glass.

The final safety precaution I put in place was for the scene where a knife is used. Rather than using a real knife I purchased a gag knife to avoid any accidents.

Interview With Dead Walpol

Point Inaudible

Costume!!

 THE DEVIL~

Costume number one!
Ok so for the first costume I decided to portray the lead roll (singer) as a devil of some sort. Obviously the seven deadly sins are associated with the devil which is where I got the idea from. The lead singer as you will soon see takes it upon herself to 'rid the world' of the seven sins. You'll see her go around killing people who represent those sins and taking out their hearts.

Costume number two!
After taking inspiration from The Pretty Reckless I decided to have the other lip sync scenes in a corset, suspenders and shirt. These shoots were created with the sole purpose to add a rock feel to the video. The suspenders of course fitting to the lyrics of the song!

Number three!
Keeping the suspenders I decided to pick a slightly more 'classy' look for another part of the video. I decided to ditch the tacky shirt and go for a blazer, cane and bowlers hat! This was designed to imitate the character who plays pride which you will see is also in a blazer (suit)

FOUR!!
Taking inspirations from In This Moments video Adrenalize I have adopted the nurse outfit for the opening scene. The suggestion from the opening clip is that after the devil has ripped out the heart of envy the nurse tends to her poor poor soul..

 ENVY!!
Creating the costume for envy was a pretty simple task. The way I chose to represent envy was to show her desire to become the singer. One of the costumes for that role was a shirt and suspenders so I decided to imitate that for the costume of envy. However as you do not see her death I created an open wound using latex, moulding wax, fake blood and make up to show that her heart had already been ripped out. At the end of the video you will see her come back to life but as a fallen angel. I have decided to do this as the devil is also a fallen angel and to show that the devil has allowed her to fulfil her sin. For her second costume I chose a black corset, black angel wings, black contacts (to show possession/death) and black tights.

That leaves number six!
The last costume was that of Prides and I decided to dress him in a simple suit to show vanity.
